These are the rules for using Family Me. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, write to us at familyme.team@gmail.com.
Who we are
Family Me is run from Israel, at family-me.com. “We” on this page means the people who run it. The privacy page says what we keep about your family and who can see it; it is part of these terms.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to open an account or start a family. A child uses Family Me only when a parent, or another adult responsible for them, adds or invites them as an admin of the family. That adult accepts these terms for the child and is responsible for how the child uses it.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account, so tell us at familyme.team@gmail.com straight away if you think someone else is using it.
Your family
An admin decides who is in the family, their roles and what each can see. Everything a member puts in a shared place — chats, tasks, lists, documents, memories — can be seen by the family, as the privacy page describes. Only add people, and information about them, that you have the right to share.
The assistant
The assistant is an AI. It can misunderstand, leave things out or simply be wrong, including about your documents, dates and amounts. It is not a doctor, lawyer, accountant or financial adviser. Check anything important against its source before you rely on it, and in an emergency call emergency services, not the app.
The assistant only acts when someone in your family asks it to: it adds tasks, fills lists, saves memories and sends the emails you confirmed. You are responsible for what you ask it to do.
Reminders and notifications travel through email, push services and your device, so they can arrive late or not at all. Don't rely on Family Me alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm, such as a medicine.
What you put in
What your family puts into Family Me stays yours. You let us store, process and show it only to run Family Me for you, which includes passing it to the services listed on the privacy page.
Don't use Family Me to:
store or share anything illegal, or anything you have no right to share;
create or share material that sexualises, exploits or endangers children;
harass, threaten or deceive anyone, in your family or outside it;
break into, overload or copy the service, or get around its limits or its access rules.
Plans and payment
Family Me is free to start, with monthly limits that the app shows. The paid plans — Basic, Plus and Max — give your family more. For now a paid plan is bought a month at a time through Bit, at the price the app shows before you pay, and starts once we find your payment, usually within a day. It doesn't renew by itself: it ends after the month unless you pay again. For a question about a payment, or to cancel, write to familyme.team@gmail.com; cancelling and refunds follow Israel's Consumer Protection Law.
Keeping the service running
We work to keep Family Me running and your data safe, but it can be unavailable at times, and features can change or end. Family Me is not a backup: keep your own copies of documents that matter.
Ending
You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we will tell you why when we can. If we ever close Family Me, we will tell you in good time so you can take what you need.
Responsibility
Family Me is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for losses that come from relying on the assistant's answers, a missed reminder or the service being unavailable, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here takes away rights that the law gives you as a consumer and doesn't allow to be taken away.
Law
Israeli law applies to these terms, and the competent courts in Israel decide any dispute about them.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its date, and tell you in the app before a change that matters to you takes effect.
